Patio & Pool Deck Coatings in Houston
Outdoor concrete takes sun, rain, and bare feet. We use UV-stable coatings that don't yellow and a slip-resistant finish that stays safe when it's wet — so your patio or pool deck looks finished and holds up to a Texas summer.

Outdoor slabs are a different problem from a garage. They live in direct sun, they get wet, and people walk on them barefoot. That rules out standard epoxy and box-store patio paint — and it's why the finish here is chosen for UV stability and grip first, looks second.
Outdoor surfaces we coat
- Pool decks. Slip-resistant and UV-stable, with the existing slope and drainage respected so water still runs away from the pool and the house.
- Patios & porches. Sealed against staining and easy to sweep and rinse, in a color and texture that matches the outdoor space.
- Walkways & entries. A clean, grippy surface where people cross in all weather.
- Outdoor kitchens & grilling areas. A sealed floor that shrugs off grease, drips, and foot traffic.
Built for sun and water
The topcoat does the heavy lifting outdoors. We use a UV-stable polyaspartic system that resists the yellowing and fading you get from epoxy in direct sun, and we broadcast a slip-resistant texture into the topcoat so the surface stays grippy when it's wet around a pool. Lighter colors and a textured finish also stay more comfortable underfoot than a dark, smooth slab baking in Houston sun.
Prep, cracks & drainage
Outdoor slabs are often older and weathered, so prep is where the job is won or lost. Any old coating or paint is ground off, the concrete is opened up, and cracks and spalling are repaired before coating. We also work with the slab's existing drainage rather than against it — a coating shouldn't leave water pooling where it used to drain. Serious structural cracking or standing-water problems change the approach, which is why we look at your actual slab before quoting.

Patio & Pool Deck Questions
Can you coat a concrete pool deck in Houston?
Yes. Pool decks are one of the best uses for an outdoor coating — but slip resistance and UV stability matter most here. We use a UV-stable polyaspartic system with a slip-resistant texture broadcast into the topcoat, and we respect the deck's existing slope and drainage so water still runs away from the pool and the house.
Will an outdoor coating yellow or fade in the Texas sun?
Standard epoxy can yellow outdoors, which is why we use UV-stable polyaspartic topcoats on patios and pool decks. They're built to hold their color under direct sun far better than epoxy or box-store patio paint.
Won't a coated patio get hot or slippery?
Both are handled in the finish. Slip resistance comes from a texture broadcast into the topcoat, so the surface stays grippy when wet around a pool. For heat, lighter colors and a textured finish stay more comfortable underfoot than a dark, smooth slab in full Houston sun.
Can you coat over an old, stained, or previously painted patio?
Usually. Old coatings and paint are ground off, the slab is opened up and repaired, and then the new system goes down. Serious cracking, spalling, or drainage problems change the approach, which is why we look at photos of your actual slab before quoting.
